On 20 August 2023, on the occasion of the founding of the state and the day of King St Stephen, the National Library organises an OPEN DAY from 10 am to 5.30 pm.

From 24 July 2023 to 14 August 2023, the processing of copy requests received via the request for quotation website will be suspended. During this period, our photocopying service is available on the self-service scanners in the reading room.

The National Széchényi Library is open to visitors in summer too

SUMMER OPENING HOURS

The NSZL does not take a break in the summer either. From 10 July to 21 August, research and leisure activities will continue to be available, details of which can be found on the library's website. The book lending machine in the lobby of the National Library of Foreign Literature will continue to operate 0–24.

The summer opening hours of the NSZL from 10 July 2023 to 21 August 2023 are as follows:

Library opening hours on the Night of the Museums

On the Night of the Museums, on Saturday, 24 June, the library will be open from 9 am to 3 pm.

The Night of the Museums' activities at the NSZL will start at 4 pm, after which you will need an official wristband to enter the library.
