On 13 March 2024, Judit Gerencsér, Deputy Director General, and Zoltán Lewalt-Jezierski, Head of Cabinet, welcomed a three-member delegation from the Embassy of the People's Republic of China to our institution.
The National Library of Foreign Literature (OIK) is hosting a thematic Tolkien open day on 6 April. (The programme of the Open Day can be found here.)
The exhibition, which will be open until 14 June 2024, will not only showcase the special technique photographs in the collection, but also briefly explore the era of experimentation, the way photography has evolved from the camera obscura to the mass-produced cabinet card.
Tolkien Day is back this spring! This year, the long-standing event will include a special event: the opening of the Tolkien Collection at the National Library of Foreign Literature, where all Tolkien lovers are welcome.
