Between 30 September and 2 October 2024, the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) held its World Library and Information Congress in Brisbane, the capital of the Australian state of Queensland. The Hungarian National Library represented itself at the meeting.
On 19 September 2024, the first meeting of the Management Committee of the European Cooperation in Science and Technology project CA23143 was held in Brussels, establishing an important new forum for interdisciplinary prayer research based on international academic cooperation.
Our library took a prominent role in the events of the Turkish-Hungarian Cultural Year 2024. On 19 September 2024, a professional conference and workshop for literary translators was held in Ankara, organised by the national library.

The role of libraries in cultural diplomacy has become of paramount importance, as was demonstrated by the event organised on 3 September 2024 by the National Library of Foreign Languages of the National Széchényi Library, operated by the Hungarian National Museum Public Collection Centre.
The NSZL provided special professional support to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Prime Minister's Office for the creation of the House of Hungary in Brussels, which will serve as one of the venues of the Hungarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, which started on 1 July.
