Since when have people been interested in breaking the monotony of everyday life? Did calendars and people’s minds used to be full of to-do lists in the past? How can we get out of the daily grind? How do holidays connect? The exhibition seeks answers to these and related questions, while giving us a glimpse into the ideas of time in the past.
How did our ancestors think about historical and personal time? How did they look to the future? You can spin a fancy 17th celestial globe, become King Matthias’s astrologer, or even foretell the future, with the help of the fortune-telling book. If you look carefully, you can see that whether time is straight or curved, you’re in the right place to grab time by the forelock.
