Summering of Museums

Just like last year, this May too, National Széchényi Library will participate in the so-called Summering of Museums, an event held in the garden of the Hungarian National Museum on May 20 and 21, 2017.

During the Summering of Museums, we will present and sell our materials, souvenirs and publications, related to the given Museum Garden – Museums and Garden (Múzeumkert – Múzeumok és kert) thematics.

Our tent will host museum educational sessions for children. These sessions will be connected to the advertised Knowledge Lane (Tudássétány), at the literary section of which, in the game entitled Who Says It? (Ki mondja?), poem figures can be paired with citations from poems by János Arany, and sites related to the poet can be marked on the map.

At 11 a.m. on Saturday May 20, 2017, literary historian and critic Beatrix Visy will have a discussion with critic Nikoletta Szekeres on our volume entitled La Fontaine’s Complete Tales, which was published in February.
