On 20 September 2023, five members of a Hungarian–French research project between the Institute of History of the Centre for the Research Centre for the Humanities and the University of Bordeaux visited the NSZL to explore the possibility of future research collaborations.
The Institute of History was represented by Ferenc Tóth, research advisor of the Early Modern History Department. For leading researchers and doctoral students of the University of Bordeaux, Franciska Dede, member of the Dorottya Lipták Press History Research Group at the library, gave a guided tour of the Land of Poems exhibition. The group learned about the activities and collections of the national library, covering a range of disciplines. Márton Szovák of the Early Printed Book Collection presented the library's first permanent exhibition, entitled Essence, followed by Ferenc Földesi, Head of the Manuscript Collection, and Zoltán Fazekas, Head of the Map, Poster and Small Print Collection, who gave an introduction to the special collections of the national library.
