More than 85% of the libraries serving communities in Hungary and abroad have introduced at least one innovation or implemented at least one development in the recent period, according to a recently published representative survey by the Library Institute. Hungarian libraries are operating their traditional services in new forms, and are constantly expanding their freely accessible online contents.
In connection with the survey, the director general of our library, Dávid Rózsa, emphasized that the demand for library services is present in Hungary even during the times of the pandemic. The recently published flash report faithfully reflects on the preparedness, creativity and commitment of the country’s librarians.
Details of the research can be found on the website of the Library Institute.
