Edina Zsupán’s lecture at the “Wiens erste Moderne” conference in Vienna

Our colleague, Edina Zsupán will deliver a lecture entitled Mitteleuropäische Meister unter den Illuminatoren der Hofwerkstatt. König Matthias’: Eine intensive Begegnung zwischen der gotischen Tradition und Renaissance at the international conference “Wiens erste Moderne” to be held in Vienna between April 11 and 14, 2019. The lecture will focus on the presence of Central European masters in the Buda book workshop of King Matthias Hunyadi, and the encounter of local Late Gothic and Italian Renaissance styles. The conference is related to an exhibition of the Kunsthistorisches Museum entitled “Meister von Heiligenkreuz”, the main topic of which is 15th-century visual art in the city of Vienna.
