Appreciating the active and constructive work Balázs Mikusi, Head of the Music Collection of National Széchényi Library has done for various committees of IAML for years, the International Association of Music Libraries, Archives and Documentation Centres elected him one of its vice presidents for the period between 2016 and 2019.
The new Board, including President Elect Stanisław Hrabia (Uniwersytet Jagielloński, Kraków, Poland) and Vice Presidents Jane Gottlieb (Juilliard School, New York, NY, USA), Joseph Hafner (McGill University, Montréal, Canada), Balázs Mikusi (National Széchényi Library, Budapest, Hungary) and Rupert Ridgewell (British Library, London, United Kingdom), will take up office after the General Assembly in Rome on 8 July 2016.
Vice President of IAML Balázs Mikusi aims at ensuring transparency to decision-making and further improving IAML conference programs. According to him, papers communicating ‘best practices’ related to daily work should gain more weight at the expense of formal presentations of institutions.
Congratulations to our colleague!
