Széchényi Memorial Day

Related to the commemoration ceremony of Library foundation (November 25, 1802), a two-day Scientific Session (entitled Translation, Interpretation, Explanation) will be held in NSZL, accompanied by the traditional Széchényi Memorial Day. On this day, our directors will lay a wreath at the statue of Ferenc Széchényi, Director-General Dr. László Tüske will ceremoniously present a staff member of National Széchényi Library with Széchényi Medallion and, at the same time, he will hand over jubilee diplomas to several of our colleagues.

On the occasion of the commemoration ceremony, our exhibitions can be visited free of charge, you can register for a Reader Pass at half price, and NSZL can be visited with a free daily ticket on November 25, 2016.

On November 25, former catalogs of the Library will be available at half price in our gift shop, until the stock lasts. Catalog of the exhibition entitled Propaganda in World War I  will be available at a 20-percent discount price only on this day.
