About the book
The book series launched under the title Studia Theatralica features a great variety of theater history topics interpreted broadly and approached in a state-of-the-art fashion.
Our current volume leads us to a new field of dance science, to the theoretical pathways of the interpretation of performance text created by movements. A book version of the doctoral dissertation of the author, Katalin Lőrinc, Harangozó Gyula Prize winner dancer-choreographer, awarded with the Bronze Cross of Merit of the Republic of Hungary, journalist and university professor can count on the interest of theater and dance artists and their audience alike. Katalin Lőrinc approaches “body text” from three perspectives; she complements theoretical and audience-critic interpretation with the analysis of her own experiences as a creator and performing artist.
