Tigran Zargaryan, Director-General of the National Library of Armenia accepted our invitation and arrived in NSZL on March 25, 2015. He was received by Director-General Dr. László Tüske and Director of Research and Academic Affairs Dr. László Boka.
This year a total amount of 41 maps entered the ”Beautiful Hungarian Map 2014” competition. An exhibition of the competing items will be open until April 11, 2015 in the Ceremonial Hall of National Széchényi Library, on Floor 6 of the Library.
With the support of various Hungarian public institutions including National Széchényi Library, the Military Museum of Finland and the Hungarian Cultural and Scientific Centre in Helsinki have opened a joint temporary exhibition in Helsinki, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the closure of the Finnish-Soviet winter war of 1939-1940.
Between March 6 and 20, 2015, Hungarian posters selected from the Collection of Posters and Small Prints of National Széchényi Library are on display at the Hungarian Cultural Institute in Beijing, China. The exhibition presents a selection of posters which show Hungary as an attractive tourist destination.
The Department of Hungarological Studies at the University of Zagreb, Croatia will hold a two-day conference on March 19 and 20, 2015, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its foundation.
