Between December 12 and 14, 2018, Library publications including decorative albums and most beautiful books will be on sale at a 30–40–50% discount price in the bookshop of NSZL.
At the chamber exhibition, maps made between 1909 and 1919 are on display, which can be regarded as special, since they show temporary conditions before the formation of the final borders. Border disputes of World War I come alive on nearly 30 maps, period posters, postcards and photographs.
This year marks not only the 170th anniversary of the Hungarian Revolution and War of Independence of 1848-1849, but also the 190th anniversary of the birth and the 150th anniversary of the death of Júlia Szendrey who played an active role in the revolution.

Part of the volumes originating from the Radvánszky library of Sajókaza was kept by National Széchényi Library as a deposit from 1950 until 2018. The codices will ceremoniously be returned to the National Lutheran Collection by Dr. László Tüske, Director-general of National Széchényi Library on November 11, 2018.
